Every coupon on DealHarbor goes through a four-step verification process before it appears on this site, and every active code is re-checked weekly to make sure it still works.
1. Source check
We pull candidate codes from retailer email programs, official social posts, loyalty-program announcements, and trusted submission channels. We do not scrape user-submitted "comment" codes from other coupon sites โ those are the most common source of dead codes on the web.
2. Cart test
Each candidate code is applied to a real cart at the retailer with a representative basket of items. We verify the discount appears at checkout, that there are no hidden category exclusions beyond what the terms state, and that the final order total matches the expected savings.
3. Terms documentation
We document the full terms โ minimum order amount, category exclusions, single-use vs. multi-use, expiration date, geographic restrictions. These appear on the coupon detail page so there are no surprises at checkout.
4. Weekly re-verification
Every Monday morning, our team re-runs the cart test on all active codes. Codes that fail are removed from the public listings within hours. We also act on user reports โ if a code stops working between weekly checks, our verification team is alerted and tests within 4 hours.
This is more work than just re-publishing whatever appears on aggregator sites, but it is the difference between coupons that actually save you money and coupons that waste your time at checkout.
